Well, moving, birthdays (all but Jill's), Christmas - it's all over except cleaning up the mess. What a crazy month it has been! We had moving, organizing, decorating, Grandpa's birthday, candy day, Pennie & Luke's birthday, Brady & TJ coming home, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and that brings us to today - yawn day. Can you believe it's all over? And now we have a week off to recouperate and try to get our lives into some semblance of order.
Mom and Dad are well - Dad has been in the hospital - he was having some heartbeat problems and angina about the time he went to bed on Friday the 21st. Mom called Corey and they took him to the hospital. They admitted him, and Saturday evening he had an Angiogram. His grafts all looked just like they did a year ago - no changes. So they adjusted his medication and sent him home. We were very grateful for the doctor's concern and desire to get him home for Christmas. He has been feeling better, but apparently the medication he has been taking for the past year has done some damage to his lungs. He will be going back in the hospital tomorrow (Thursday the 27th) for a 2 1/2 day IV treatment. We all wish him the best. Mom has been a trooper through all of it - maybe she'll get to rest someday.... Rick has been a huge help to her and we appreciate it!
Brady and TJ drove (or should I say "flew") home on Saturday the 22nd. They didn't have any weather problems, thankfully. TJ has never seen snow, so he had a great experience shoveling the driveway! LOL I think he has decided that although the snow is beautiful, he prefers living in Las Vegas.
We're so glad that Brady was able to come home for Christmas again - it just wouldn't be the same without him here, handing out the Christmas gifts on Christmas morning....then crashing under the tree after all the presents are opened! He had kind of a rough summer, but things are looking good for him now, and we hope for the best for him in the upcoming year. We're very proud of him and his accomplishments at such a young age.
We had a real treat this Christmas - Matt & Jill came up on Christmas Eve and spent the night and were with us for Christmas morning. It was so much fun! We hope it can become a tradition.
Today is Jill's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL!! I can't believe she's 27 years old. What an unbelievably great person she grew up to be! We're very proud of her and the choices she makes in life.
Lucas turned 17 this month. Wow - I can't believe he's that old. He's doing very well in school and enjoys life. He loves his science fiction and would love to learn to fly planes. He's SUCH a hard worker and is so much help to us! He was a lifesaver when we moved.
Well, that pretty much brings us up to date! I'll add a few pictures here - we had a GREAT Christmas! Now that things will hopefully slow down a bit, I'll try to be more diligent about blogging. :-)
